San Francisco Shock Welcome ANS To 2020 Roster

San Francisco Shock surprised fans last night by announcing the addition of Lee “ANS” Seon-chang to their team. ANS is a formerly-retired DPS player, who is especially skilled at sniping; so much so that Shock welcomed him by premiering 20 of his “Widow Popoffs” on Youtube.

Ansan Sniper, or ANS for short, retired from professional Overwatch on January 16 2019 after playing for BlossoM in the Korean Contenders League for over a year. During his time with BlossoM, and while streaming, ANS built a reputation for being an amazing sniper, hitting crazily-accurate headshots on a wide range of DPS heroes.

Many fans were puzzled as to why San Francisco signed another DPS player to their already damage-heavy roster. However, ANS’s sniping skills are unrivalled, and as the Overwatch meta shifts, he may prove invaluable in defending Shock’s championship title.

San Francisco Shock are one of the teams who have made the fewest changes to their roster during this offseason. ANS is the first player they have picked up so far, and aside from some behind-the-scenes changes, Andreas “Nevix” Karlsson, an off-tank, has been the only player they’ve released too (Nevix was later picked up by Toronto Defiant).

After their victory at the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals, San Francisco likely didn’t feel the need to make any changes. This paired with their DPS Jay “Sinatraa” Won’s success – he won MVP at both the Overwatch League 2019 and the Overwatch World Cup 2019 – inspires confidence in their roster.

ANS will be the fifth DPS player on the Shock roster, alongside Sinatraa, Park “Architect” Min-ho, Kim “Rascal” Dong-jun, and Kwon “Striker” Nam-joo. The team received criticism during the 2019 season for their damage-heavy lineup, but quickly proved naysayers wrong by climbing the leaderboard, with many of their damage players flexing to other roles (such as Rascal, who often played Baptiste).

San Francisco Shock will kick off their 2020 Overwatch League season by battling it out against Dallas Fuel on February 9.

Borderlands 3: Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite Release Date Revealed

All the speculations came to an end about the Borderlands 3 Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite release date. The release date is official and confirmed. Now you are all set to enjoy your favorite game and explore some unique challenges. The players will not have to wait long. If you are so excited, you can try the post-lunch games to enjoy the end-game challenges. The game will start on November 21 on its developer Gearbox.

All the players are excited to explore something new. They want to know all the hypes about the game were true or not. If you are already done with your campaign, you do not need to wait a long to play your favorite game, new Takedown. However, you will have to prepare yourself for the challenges ahead. You might have heard some interesting things about the game and challenges. So, do all your preparations before leaping.

Gearbox warns the players that the new Takedown will be tuned to the four-level 50 characters challenges with the legendary gear. If you start running by yourself as fast as possible, you can simply get the Vault Hunter vaporized without waiting a lot, in the first fight itself. You might enjoy the game and find it fun regardless of the result. However, you will have to be a bit careful to dominate the game throughout. As the game will be full of challenges, you will have to play intelligently to register a win.

As stated by Gearbox, the Maliwan’s Blacksite will create an example and will become the first in many breakdowns. Each of them will be included in your game with free updates. All of them will come with some advanced features to offer flexible options to players. These updates will be public matching enabled. As a result, players will be able to queue up and they can even try especially when you normally prefer to play solo.

From the recent updates, you might be finding Takedown a bit similar to Raids in some loot-driven online games. However, the group head of Gearbox, Randy Varnell, might not agree with you. As stated by him, the studio wants to make them simple and easy so that players can effortlessly play and enjoy the game whenever they want without spending the entire night. Though these games are easy to play and do not demand the whole night, these are a bit longer than Proving Grounds. But these are not too long and will not occupy all your time, added by Varnell.

He made it clear on the official site that, they will like players to come and enjoy a session. If they want, they can take a break or replay it. They can come again tomorrow and start playing. This is designed to become a replayable content to make it easy for players to start enjoying the game.

This Takedown will come with some specific features. You will find some new additions, especially for players. It will send players to one of the most secure and secret facilities of the Maliwan corporation. New Riot Troopers will be equipped with shields. They will use them to absorb the elemental damage and also, they can use their shield to fire back at you. There will be stealth Troopers. They will be hiding to outmaneuver you. There are three boss fights to test your skill and gear. These are some simple challenges that you will come across in the game.

Besides, there will be some bigger challenges and even commensurate rewards. You can face them while playing on True Vault Hunter Mode. So, you can try to succeed to be rewarded. Yes, you can be rewarded with the best shield in the game. Some other rewards are skin variants and an exclusive head. All these will help you to hone your skills and enjoy your game most. With better planning, you can be rewarded as well.

As the release date is confirmed and a few details about the game are revealed; now you might find the game is easy and exciting. You can start playing after a few weeks. Before that, know more about the games, challenges, and rewards. Prepare yourself with all the updates to enjoy your game and make it more fun and challenging.

Champion Series, Twitch Blunders and the Dreaded Mech

It has only been a few weeks since we saw a bunch of brand-new esports players enter the millionaire ranks in gaming from the Fortnite World Cup, the Champion Series is about to get underway.

The Champion Series: Weekly will feature three rounds each week, running from 17 August until 15 September. From there, the Champion Series: Season Finals will head through Heats 1 to 4, with group stages from all regions being played for in the first two heats, and the 2nd set of two heats consisting of only EU, NAE, NAW and BR.

The Champion Series Grand Finals for all regions will take place on 22 September. After each week’s rounds, teams or players will earn series points that will determine where people place. Players can only compete in Solo or Trio, and there will be a $10 million prize pool up for grabs across all regions and modes.

With the start of the 10th Season in Fortnite, players have been posting to social media about the latest update, which includes an artillery-firing mech by the name of B.R.U.T.E. This mech has changed a lot of the gameplay that the 100-player battle royale fanbase wouldn’t necessarily expect, and while it doesn’t look out of place at all, it has definitely sparked outrage across the community. Epic Games will certainly need to look into it before commencing with the Blackheart Cup, or indeed any other competitions that are soon to come.

One such player, Richard ‘Ninja’ Blevins is also one of the people who hasn’t particularly enjoyed the involvement of the new mech in the game. Blevins, known across the world for his Fortnite fame, has since moved his streaming exclusively to Twitch competitor, Mixer. Microsoft’s new streaming service must have paid a pretty tidy some to the player in order to secure his exclusive streaming rights, but no details about the deal have been shared. Nevertheless, Blevins has brought with him, a massive fan base of players and gaming enthusiasts to the new platform, leaving Twitch a little shorthanded in the Fortnite department.

Twitch was quick to make use of the channel that was formerly in control of Blevins, and took advantage of his viewer potential. His dormant page was then used by Twitch to promote other streamers across the network who were also playing Fortnite. A great idea in theory, as some users were then exposed to other Fortnite players looking to gain notoriety.

It’s no surprise though that this soon turned disasters, as one of the channels that was clearly violating the Twitch terms of service shot to the top, showing pornography. The moderators weren’t able to catch it immediately, so unfortunately, it seemed like quite a few people were exposed to it before anyone was able to catch on.

Blevins, in a heartfelt message to his community, apologised to his old viewers on Twitch and was working to get it taken down.

“As you guys know I’m streaming on Mixer now. There was a porn account which was number one being recommended on my channel. And I have no say in any of this stuff. So for anyone who saw that, for anyone whose kids saw that, I apologise, and I’m sorry.”

First Teamfight Tactics Tournament to be Held

In case you haven’t really been following the development of games and the popularity of the new and upcoming game genres, the “autobattler” genre is a big one and is taking the online esports community by storm.

Twitch Rivals will be hosting the first official Teamfight Tactics tournament in order to celebrate the popularity of Riot Games’ very own autobattler which should, hopefully, rival the numbers of the original games that first made this mode incredibly popular.

Over two days, there will be 64 players battling it out for a $125,000 prize pool. Set to start on 17 July, there will be two groups of 32 players who will play against each other in an elimination style format. The final 16 will then go through to the second day to battle it out for the title.

Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is Riot’s answer to the ever-growing popularity of other autobattler games that are making waves right now. Essentially, it’s a strategy game that is round-based and pits you up against seven random opponents in a race to build a team. You’ll be presented with an arena where the battles will take place. You have a bench to keep champions that you purchase, and you’ll be able to move them onto your battlefield each round. Every turn, you’ll gain gold, and the gold income has an interest-based economy, as well as other bonuses based on wins and defeats.

You’ll start off on level one, and each time you level up, you’ll be able to bring one more champion onto the board. Each round, you’ll get a randomized choice of champions and selecting one will cost a certain amount of gold depending on their tier level. As you progress in the game and become more astute at playing, you’ll be able to structure your champions in the right positions, bring in champions of different origins, and give them items.

Every champion has an Origin to them, and each one grants special powers. For example, the Demon origin will give you a chance to burn your opponent’s mana, dealing damage based on the amount burned. This chance then increases with the more Demons you have. Each champion will also be a specific class, so building a team of four Demons, giving you a greater Origin bonus will work well, if you can combine them with a few different Assassin’s, getting both the Demon bonus and the Assassin bonus.

Dota Auto Chess (DAC), arguably the original game, did do exceptionally well as a user developed Dota 2 map, but Valve decided to make their own game called Dota Underlords, after the original DAC developers decided to pursue their own path in the mobile scene. Teamfight Tactics is the response to the surging popularity of these two games and is one of the most popular titles on the Twitch streaming service.
